Whenever we are requested to work in a country other than Egypt, the effort required to prepare and study the project is greater. This is so that we can understand the market we are entering and identify the consumer segments and target group of the audience.
“White Rose” is a cosmetics and hair care brand in Sudan, aiming to compete with imported products from Cairo, Dubai, or Istanbul. That’s why we wanted to go for subtle colors and clear font styles, accompanied by light illustrations that differentiate it from everything else in the market, as they usually rely on vivid images.
Our logo design incorporates a white rose, represented by an icon that depicts a rose drawn from the letter “W.” We kept it white and surrounded it with a space that will be filled with a silver fingerprint.
We intended for the labels to be white because individuals with darker skin tones, who have a lighter complexion, tend to lean towards contrasting colors, such as white.
